As fanciers of exotic cats, we primarily focus on the Savannah breed which has an incredible balance of wild looks and domestic tractability. Like most people, we are drawn to the breed because of its unusual appearance and its highly inquisitive and interactive nature. We strive to breed Savannahs that are not only exceptional examples of the “BREED STANDARD” but also amazing, social and lovable PETS.
Some breeders have chosen to deviate from the breed standard and make a monetary profit off of kittens who do not fit the criteria given in these guidelines. Here at Puncia, you will never find monetary greed as a driving factor for our desire to breed Savannah cats. When, in the rare event, we are presented with a non-standard kitten, some lucky family will be given the opportunity to apply for ownership of said cat for the cost of delivery and appropriate vetting. We NEVER SELL or PROFIT from non standard Savannah Cats.
I have been a cat lover my whole life. I come from a family of cat lovers and have carried out this tradition. My rescue efforts started as a teenager and have continued into adulthood, which has been for the last 11 years. Although I am now retired from cat rescue, and am focusing my full attention to producing high quality Savannahs, I will continue to support rescue as I am able to.
I have always casually fed my cats raw meat as part of their diet, but for the last 7 years have been very engrossed in feline nutrition and health, and have been exclusively feeding all of my rescue and pet cats this type of diet. 5 years ago I bought my first pet Savannah cat. Since then, I have become infatuated with these purebred cats. My goal in breeding purebreed cats is to assist in the development and advancement of them.
